What we do with your details
We collect your name and email address so that we can send you a ticket and let the organiser know you are coming. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you, and we delete it 120 days after the event.

Who we are, and who is responsible for what
This ticketing service is run by Ainthinai Ltd, trading as AinthinAI, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17371240, at 1 Lyndhurst Court, Overton Road, Sutton, SM2 6SS. You can reach us at hello@ainthinaiapp.co.uk.
Responsibility is split, and the split matters because it decides who you should ask first.
- The event organiser decides what happens to your booking. They chose to run the event, they set the questions you were asked, and they hold your booking. In data protection language they are the controller and we are their processor: we act on their instructions and we do not use your booking for anything of our own.
- We are responsible for our own contacts. If you message us directly, about pricing or about running an event of your own, that conversation is ours and we are the controller for it.
Either way, you can write to us and we will either answer or pass you to the organiser and tell you that we have.
What we collect when you book
| Your name | So the organiser knows who is coming and the door can find your booking if your email goes missing. |
|---|---|
| Your email address | To send your ticket, and to contact you if the event changes. |
| Your phone number | Optional. Only used if the organiser needs to reach you urgently about the event. You can leave it blank and everything still works. |
| The names of people taking part | Only on events with a competition or performance entry, and only because the organiser needs a running order and a list of who is on stage. |
| What you bought | Which tickets, how many, the amount, and whether you have been admitted at the door. |
We do not ask for your address, your date of birth, or anything about your health, beliefs or background. If a form ever asks you for something that is not on this list, it is because the organiser added the question, and you can ask them why.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To give you what you bought. A ticket cannot be issued or checked at the door without a name and an email address. This is the performance of our contract with you.
- To run the event safely. Knowing how many people are coming, and who is performing, is a legitimate interest of the organiser and one you would reasonably expect.
- To keep records of payments. Payment records are kept because tax rules and payment disputes require them.
We do not send marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list because you bought a ticket.
Your card details never reach us
Who else sees your details
Four companies help us run the service. Each one is under a written contract that allows them to use your details only to do the job we have given them.
| Stripe | Takes the payment and pays the organiser. |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores the booking. |
| Resend | Sends your ticket and any message from the organiser. |
| Cloudflare | Serves the website and protects it from abuse. |
Some of these process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK law requires for it, either an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
Nobody else gets your details. We do not sell them, we do not share them between different organisers, and organisers cannot see each other's attendees.
How long we keep it
120 days after the event, then we delete it.
The reason it is not the night of the event is worth knowing: a card payment can be disputed for up to 120 days afterwards. If we deleted your booking on the night and your bank asked a question in January, neither we nor the organiser could show that you had a ticket and that you came, and the organiser would lose the money. Keeping it for that window protects both of you.
Records of the payment itself are kept longer where tax law requires it. Those are held by the organiser and by Stripe, not by us.
Cookies, and why there is no banner
Staff-only pages, the door scanner and the organiser pages, keep a sign-in token in their own browser so they do not have to retype it during an event. It is held in the browser's session storage, which the browser clears when the tab closes, and it is deleted when they sign out. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to anyone else, and it is not used on any page a ticket buyer visits.
There is still no banner, and that is not a technicality. The rules cover anything stored on your device, not only cookies, but they exempt what is strictly necessary to provide a service the person has actually asked for. Keeping somebody signed in after they asked to sign in is exactly that. Nothing here is stored for advertising, measurement or profiling, because we do none of those things.
If you enter a child for a competition
Some events collect the name of the person taking part, and at a children's dance or music competition that person is often a child. We hold that name for the same reason as everything else on this page: the organiser needs a running order, and the compere needs to know who is on stage.
- We ask for a name, and nothing else about them.
- It is deleted on the same 120-day timetable as the rest of the booking.
- It is never used for marketing and is never shared beyond the organiser.
If you would rather a child's name were removed or shortened after the event, write to us and we will do it.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- Show you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong, such as a misspelled name on a ticket.
- Delete your details, though if you do this before the event you will lose your ticket, because the ticket is the record.
- Give you a copy in a form you can take elsewhere.
- Stop a particular use you object to.
Email hello@ainthinaiapp.co.uk. We answer within one month, which is the limit the law sets, and usually a great deal sooner. We will ask you to confirm the email address the booking was made with, because handing someone else's booking to the wrong person would be the worse mistake.
If you are unhappy
Tell us first, because most of it we can fix the same day. If you are still unhappy you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. You do not need our permission and it costs nothing.
Changes to this notice
If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and affects an event you have booked, we will email you.
Still want to ask a person?
Email hello@ainthinaiapp.co.uk and a person will reply. There is no form to fill in.
